Supplemental Building
Department

This support model provides managerial, technical, and administrative staff on an as-needed/on-call basis. The team at CAP monitors and adjusts staffing and resources with the client to deliver the services that are tailored to the need.

Hybrid
Model

With this flexible model, our clients can offer an option of providing expedited services at their convenience, for an additional fee. Full Service or la carte services are available for all services and disciplines including management and administration.

    Operational Management

    At CAP, we understand that success requires thoroughly planned and properly coordinated oversight by management, as well as a commitment to excellence at all staff levels. CAP’s staff has been carefully selected & vetted to ensure that we deliver results that meet, if not exceed, our clients’ expectations. Our management and operational support staff are proficient at implementing organizational and procedural changes, monitoring performance and providing full oversight of all department activity.

    Plans Review

    CAP’s staff has extensive experience of providing plans review services for municipal and educational clients in Florida. The firm’s capabilities are reinforced through our staff’s proficiency in the Florida Building Code (FBC) as well as in local ordinances and practices. Plan reviews are conducted by professionals certified in their respective trade. CAP’s Electronic Plan Review (EPR) services have proven to expedite the plan review process, as well as facilitate improved communications, documentation and project management. With EPR, the project designers can submit and re-submit all applications, plans, corrections and documents in an organized digital environment with no need to physically deliver plans and documents. In turn, our plan review professionals provide comments in a user-friendly electronic format that documents requirements and activity for use by designers, contractors and managers. The CAP EPR service is smartly and successfully implemented as simply as filling-out online forms, uploading files, and responding to emails and notifications. Utilizing CAP’s EPR services saves time, saves money and improves results.

    Inspections

    With over 37 years of successful inspection services, our firm and employees fully comprehend the critical importance of this phase of the construction process and conduct the required inspections to ensure compliance with the FBC and other related codes. Furthermore, all of our staff are held responsible for verifying that construction activities are being carried out in a safe working environment. Comprehensive field inspections are dutifully performed by our certified building inspection staff. CAP’s in-the-field digital technology provides seamless and expedited inspection services with real time results, digital documentation, GPS monitoring and remote inspections.

    Code Enforcement

    The team at CAP is qualified and experienced in providing comprehensive code enforcement services and can assume full or supplemental responsibility for the overall operations, including transition, planning, organizing, administration, staffing, field enforcement, customer service, public education, information technology, and special magistrate/prosecution functions. Our municipal code enforcement professionals are experienced and are certified by the Florida Association of Code Enforcement (FACE).

    Administrative Support

    In addition to our trained and licensed technical staff, CAP has built a team of highly-qualified administrative professionals, available to serve in a multitude of key positions, including permit supervisor, coordinator and clerk. Permit administrators are an important as a point of contact to the public and key to the success of the permit process. Therefore, CAP ensures that staff for these positions are trained and experienced professionals that fully understand the permitting process and will provide excellent service.

    Emergency/Disaster Response

    As an organization, CAP understands the devastating effects that natural disasters, such as hurricanes, flooding & health crises, can have on a community. Our senior, technical, and administrative staff have the experience, hands-on knowledge and training to work with clients before, during, and after these damaging events. We are committed to ensuring our readiness to work with the affected cities, communities, and emergency response teams in these situations. Our staff has experience providing these services to clients and successfully mitigating potentially dangerous situations through the provision of our work.

    Continuing Education

    CAP’s staff are required to participate in an annual ethics training course, adhere to our company’s code of conduct and take educational credits to maintain the required certifications for their positions. In April 2016, CAP became an Educational Provider accredited by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation and is further recognized by the Florida Building Code Administrator and Inspection Board.
